Backstory: Pound Cake was once a formidable underground masked fighter. He participated in many tournaments in the mystery dungeon, as well as questionably legal gambling fights. His loving family would worry about him, but the cash and prizes he gave them from fighting would soon placate their anxieties. Unfortunately, years of blunt force trauma have left his brain in a bit of a mess - Pound Cake is noticeably more dumb and clumsy, has impaired short term memory and is now so amnesic that he can no longer remember his real name.

He wanders the underground tunnels for days at a time in a haze of confusion, challenging powerful pokemon to battles and picking up whatever he can find. His thinking may be impaired, but his strong sense of smell (something that all Slurpuff's have) isn't, and can lead him to food or find other pokemon for help. Pound Cake also carries plenty of food and a first-aid kit with him at all times.

Personality: He is really friendly and agreeable towards other docile Pokemon, and loves to help others. Pound Cake is a loyal friend - just as long as he can remember that. Pound Cake's head injuries have left him in a permanent forgetful state of jolly bliss and ignorance. He often forgets important details or instructions, and is frequently impulsive in his actions.

All Slurpuff's are biologically preconditioned to sniff out and devour lots of food, and Pound Cake is no exception. His biggest weakness is his large appetite, especially sweet-tasting berries and pastries. He has been known to follow faint scents in a hypnotic trance for miles - almost nothing comes between this pudgy pupcake and a tasty meal.

Fighting style: With regards to battling, Pound Cake is a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. He has a huge repertoire of moves such as Dazzling Gleam, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Psychic, Energy Ball, and even Surf. While risky, Pound Cake can also use Belly Drum and Return/Play Rough/Thief as a "glass cannon" strategy. Lastly, he's a good team player with Aromatherapy and Wish, can boost his defenses with Cotton Guard/Calm Mind and put his enemies to sleep with a Yawn and Dream Eater combo.

Sadly, he is far from a smart battler. His head injuries have left him forgetful to even basic type matchups, in worst cases, even helping the opponent to absorb and heal from his attacks. He is also easily confused by copies made by Double Team and Substitute. Finally, Pound Cake is extremely clumsy and inaccurate with his attacks, and often needs to be commanded by others to avoid making dumb mistakes.
