A character I played in a 4th edition Dungeons and Dragons one-shot - the first time I'd ever played D&D, in fact. (Well, I did play Neverwinter Nights before that, but that was a computer game adaptation of 3e's ruleset. Not completely the same.)
No-one knows Snapjaw's real name, or why he wears a mask, or why he speaks in a strange accent. What is known is that Snapjaw is a bit... not right in the head, shall we say. Granted, this was partly an excuse for me to do random things while still making it make sense for the character, like bashing down doors by headbutting them or breaking the fourth wall.
Believe it or not, this guy is a sorcerer - in D&D terms, that means that he's a squishy wizard. In 4e D&D terms, though, it means he's a squishy wizard who hits like a truck. I've revisited the character since, and a higher-level version of him allows him to ignore an enemy's fire resistance, which I could see being very handy in some campaigns... :P
Oh, and the little toy? That's his familiar.
