(NOT MY ART, drawn by the very cool and talented baweeping over on Tumblr as a gift! Thanks again, it's beautiful! <3)
My much, MUCH overdue "fursona", if you will!
Model CX2-β Lifelike Automaton (also responds to Connor, Connie, or Collins) is designed after a bordercollie-shark hybrid anthropomorph.
In some weird mental canon I have to justify his appearance, he is what he is because he was originally designed as an amphibious combat model with a much different, battle-oriented exoskeleton, the conflict he was designed for ended prematurely. Laws preventing the termination of already activated AI meant he had to be decommissioned as a military asset, meaning the quick and cheap replacement of his exoskeleton with synthetic fur and semi-malleable fake flesh, such as to help him better blend in with organic life. Without a coded prime directive, he's something of an aimless drifter, going from one arbitrary conviction to the next and living life very moment-to-moment.
Sans all that tl;dr stuff, he's a robot because I like the idea of being able to be programmed and physically reconfigured easily, he's a dog because that is the one animal I absolutely identify with, and he's a shark because I love sharks, simple as!
