Andrew is an Scottish exchange student at Allegheny College of Magic in Pittsburgh, PA. He got in a lot of trouble during high school back home; as a result, he's only allowed to be a human in certain circumstances, and under tight supervision. At all other times, he has to stay in the body of a cat, to prevent him from using more concentrated forms of magic. He prefers to wear clothes even as a cat, but sometimes he can't afford to attract attention.
