She lives in the woods, in an abandoned hut she found and restored herself. Spends most of her time painting, with paints she prepared by herself by picking up different types of colorful flowers. Once she has enough paintings done, she goes to Ponyville to sell them. Art is her life. And even though she's not in the best of her economic situations, she tries to live as happy as possible, enjoying her work.

Artsy is pretty friendly, but prefers the loner life, far in the woods, only hearing the sounds of nature. It helps her relax and focus better to create. She can be eccentric, obsessed over details, takes her art seriously and spends a whole night finishing work, if she has the strength.

She has a good temper, is pretty chill, but can get cranky if anyone dares to alter the order of the things in her house, as she has her own way to arrange them. It might look messy to some, but to her, it all looks just fine. She can get even more enraged if you mess with the ponies she cares about, as she puts their wellbeing above her own.

This pony has a peculiar problem about not understanding well other ponies and their emotions, hence she can get annoying, invasive or even selfish without intending to. This might be caused by her tendence to withdraw herself from others. Ponies in Ponyville view her as that strange artist pony that appears at times with her little cart selling art. They get a bit weirded out at times at her mysteriousness and the way she acts, but they like her. She's very polite and nice despite being socially awkward.

As a lover of small animals, she owns a tiny brown pet rat named Pink Tail. Animals and nature are her main inspiration sources, as well as music.
