Though known for being somewhat timid like his brother, Fiaron, Calvis has a more noticeable playful side to him as well. This made for a very interesting situation when the destruction of his pack led to him joining forces with Atkine, rather than Siona and by extension, his brother. During the invasion of the wolves, however, Calvis was the unfortunate victim of a very cruel game which resulted in his tail being severed at the tip, leaving him with three-quarters of his tail. Thanks to the care of his brother and his other comrades, however, he did not bleed to death and he was able to travel with Atkine and Falie, seeking refuge.

He is still sometimes haunted by a 'tingling' feeling where the rest of his tail used to be, and it makes him uncomfortable and embarrassed, even if none of his surviving comrades would ever poke fun at him for his deformity, especially since he lost his tail while trying to protect said comrades. Like his brother he is a very loving and caring creature and his pack and family mean the world to him.
