➤ Zane is very serious when it comes to business matters. He hardly gets rest or a vacation, and likes to dedicate most hours into work. Although he doesn't admit to liking or disliking the constant work, he has stated countless times that working alongside his daughter is his favorite part of a day.

➤ His former lover is deceased. Many ask him if he has ever thought of going 'back into the game', but he pays no mind to it, nor does he show a sign of interest towards relations with another person. Mostly because he fears that a new lover would be murdered like his previous.

➤ When not working or fretting over something to do with work, he can be found sitting somewhere filled with wild-life and natural things. It's a sort of calming thing for him, helping him to recollect thoughts and think on things in more depth.

➤ While he cannot be around his grandchildren as much as he'd like, he never fails to miss an event involving them if there is no wars going on. He cares deeply of and for his family, speaking highly of them despite his grandchildren being Halflings. While he hopes that one of his grandchildren, especially Slare in particular, would take to being in his shoes like his daughter, he never makes an attempt to showing or announcing it, believing that they should be given the chance to choose for themselves.

➤ The most important thing to Zane is his daughter. She is the only thing he has left of his former lover, and he'll easily be angered if something is done to her that upsets or harms her. He makes it very clear that she is the one who will take his place once he retires, and he has complete trust of her and her decisions.
