Namaste

Aurinona

Name:
Namaste
Gender:
Female
Species:
Winged wolf/lupogryph hybrid

Ever have one of those characters who was SUPPOSED to be in the background of a story, who then jumped into the spotlight and refused to leave? Namaste was one of those (and by the time I realized it, it was too late to change her name to something which better fit with her fantasy world).

Her mother is a lupogryph (wolf-gryphon), and her father is some sort of winged-wolf-critter. She was the result of an experimental breeding to produce magical healers, and did her job admirably well... right up until it killed her.

Fortunately for her, death simply sent her to another realm. Unfortunately, the world of the spirits only LOOKED like heaven, with all kinds of troubles boiling just beneath the surface.

Appearance: Wolf-like build, with cream colored fur (For reference, wheaten terriers have about the right shade), a long, curved neck, and iridescent lavender wings. Her paws have chocolate points. The same color is also seen in stripes around her tail (I'm not picky on the count, just however many fit.) Yellow eyes.

Temperament: Surprisingly bold, a little bit snarky, and although she comes across as wise, helpful and always willing to heal someone who comes to her with injuries, she's also prone to telling people that they should take steps to fix their own problems so they don't get hurt again. She doesn't like being an official leader (too much responsibility!) but tends to get stuck in positions of authority anyway, because she usually SEEMS like she knows what she's doing even if she doesn't have a clue.

Digging the iridescent feathers, daang that looks nice. Also "she DOES have two" made me laugh.

Thanks! I really enjoy painting shiny things. And yes, I felt a little silly specifying that the other wing exists, but figured it was a safer choice than leaving it out. :)
