Summer was raised in a small town by parents and peers who didn't understand her; and as a result, she doesn't understand herself very well either. She's always been the type to have a bright disposition and most saw her as living up to her name, but as time went on and she grew older she became discontented with bagging groceries and failing in every relationship she ever had in her limited habitat. She moved to the coast to get a taste of the big city life and rid herself of her "little town blues", but being around people from all creeds and colors has lead her to wonder who she really is. Eventually in her confused meanderings she met Oreo; a grumpy, surly cat with no interest in anything to do with someone like Summer; which made it even stranger when the two of them fell in love. While Summer is still trying to figure herself and her relationship with Oreo out, she is for the moment content with her lot in life, and with the help of her mate she has learned not just more about her own self, but about a world she never saw until she got out into it.
