Alignment: Chaotic good

Personality:
An excellent guard dog. If given something, someone, or somewhere to protect, he will do so with extreme dedication, loyalty and complete disregard for his own well being. This goes for really any job he is trained for or appointed to. Physical limits mean absolutely nothing to to him; food, sleep, and physical injury can be ignored for extended periods of time without much concern. He may suffer the effects of this later, but will under no circumstances allow it to distract him from his job. Hyper awareness aids to this as well; he is constantly aware of every small thing going on around him and endlessly surveying his environment.
Despite this hardworking attitude, he can be extremely lazy when finally given a "safe" place to relax. Lazing about in the sun on a good day and simply watching the birds is a favorite activity. It would only take a moment for the lax dog to revert into being on high alert though, prepared to act immediately and perhaps violently if need be.

Outwardly he appears very calm and confident, to the point of coming off as stoic and aloof. Inwardly, he is wrought with fear and paranoia. Paranoid delusions may exasperate aggressive or violent behavior and fear may cause him to act far more aggressive than he actually is as a means of defense. At his worst, he may dissociate and lose touch with reality and even suffer from visual, auditory, and olfactory hallucinations. He somewhat fears himself as a result, leading to a great deal of self-loathing.
As a nervous, high energy creature, he has many quirks, bad habits, or tics. Pacing, excessively chewing on or scratching at himself, a complete lack of eye contact, and some strange twitches (particularly of the head/neck) can be observed. Teeth clacking and grinding are often done in high-stress situations, especially social ones. Years of this has left him rather emotionally numb and beyond the above he "feels" little and does not enjoy much. He can be good natured though, and can be quite helpful and polite, even caring, if he can keep himself and his own neurotic thoughts under control. At his best when given a purpose and consuming job to do, as this distracts him and keeps his mind, which seems forever set to overdrive, busy. Does well to mindlessly serve someone.

Unorganized scraps:
Likes elevated places and may even get himself up into trees and lounge there if he is able to. Otherwise, the roof of a junked car or the top of a doghouse is perfectly acceptable. If given enough time, he might decide the roof of his humans' house is the ideal location to guard from. Perhaps a bit cat-like.

Has frequents nosebleeds and headaches, especially in stressful environments.

Frequently looks ill.
