Ricochet is a young female from a race of canines known as the Boarder Walkers; a clan of dogs mixed between wild clans and domestic breeds. Boarder Walkers are thus named because they have no place among either of their blood lines. They are not pure enough for wild clans, and are too feral and unpredictable to be trusted by domestic breeds.

Ricochet is a mix of African Wild Dog and Australian Sheppard. She's spunky, intelligent, brash and stubborn. An excellent hunter and fiercely loyal to those of her pack, Ricochet has the support of her boarder clan, but her youth and brash bull headedness often gets her into trouble.

Though her faults make her an awkward adolescent, she ends up proving herself and standing unchallenged as alpha female with her mate Longstride.
