Kiwoharu is a rather scrawny boy that looks a bit androgynous at times. He spends more times with books and computers than people, preferring to deal with the neutral tones of text to the various emotions of those around him. This has given him some ability to sense emotion even when the person he's talking to seems calm or emotionless.

He has powers involving the manipulation of dark energy and dark matter, allowing him to do three general things with fields of this energy/matter. He can lower the mass of objects or people, allowing him to easily hurl them, raise the mass to immobilize people or objects, or even create a rapidly shifting field that rip apart any unprotected object he targets.

However, his powers use a lot of energy, and as a mortal, he needs to watch how much energy he uses. With training, his powers will eventually use less energy as he expends only the exact amount of effort he needs to, but right now a few uses of his powers will make him tired and/or hungry.

His powers stem from a combination of genetics and a very rare metal within his nervous system. While the power usually transmits along matriarchal lines, Kiwoharu has somehow managed to end up with these powers despite being a boy. On the other hand, he does have a few girly aspects about himself.

The first time he used his powers, he met Abe, a shinigami, shortly afterward. In an accident caused by a fit of rage, he destroyed a boy, body and soul. He was later introduced to a demon called Kumo, who he now lives with.
