he doesnt have an actual home, he sleeps at inns or simply in a tent (but he tries to awoid that when he is alone because big rubble is a dangerous place), he gets all the money and items he needs from adventuring and mercenary work. usually he wanders around the big rubble and occasionally he leaves pavis and goes to south, west or sometimes even east if he gets good job offers.

he really loves his lifestyle even tho he cant become too rich since the three knights usually manage to snatch all the best job offers and all the best treasures. Bert finds the thought of having family and permanent home really off-putting.

he has a giant death rune tattooed on his back. in our world that tattoo could look a little silly but in his world it means that he is really badass. it does not depict a cross, it depicts a black sword (Humakt, the god of death and war carries a black sword and that black sword is the literal death), also Bert is a devoted Humakt worshiper so naturally he shows his devotion buy hacking death rune on his back.
