As a Bard of Mind, he can either allow the destruction of someone's mind, or invite destruction through the mind. In simple terms, he either blows people's minds with his vast amount of knowledge, allows people to become more confused and/or mentally unstable, or, on the flipside, he can help people use the power of their thoughts/mind/mental capacity to destroy. Pretty much, he helps people reach their full potential, and then directs it to become a destructive force.
Just think of all the smarts you have locked away. He will 'invite' you to use those smarts to destroy.
Additional: Ventus is a Psiionic, but obviously not to the extent of the captors. While he does have quite a bit of power, he would rather use his physical strengths to win a fight, using his Psiionic abilities only for flying or carrying things. Once he achieves God Tier, he only uses them for carrying things.
