Truro the Lost

13-21
Gender:

American Cave Lion

Truro is the main character of the novel I have worked on for many years and was my first fursona. His story is a tragic one but I'll refrain from its telling here. Throughout his story he grows, following the destiny that was chosen for him though he struggles to accept it.

Truro usually takes form as a feral-style lion or a human. Both incarnations share the same overall story and themes, but in my final novelization he is human.

From my Nabyn:

Truro was born in a kingdom far to the West in a land called Terra. It lies beside the sea, and is effectively cut off from the majority of the other kingdoms by a vast distance and a mountain range.

He was the second born son to the king and queen of the kingdom, Asa and Luana - his mother, Luana, comes from the Sandarian people, a race that focuses on knowledge and prophecy. His siblings are a younger sister, Jade, and an older brother, named Aden.

Truro is chosen by the Sandarians, as he shows mystical signs that he is destined to be a great leader. This displaces Aden from his original claim to the throne, causing intense resentment. Truro is also betrothed to a mysterious ward at their castle, a girl of the same age named Ratana.

Truro's story begins when his father inexplicably dies, and his elder brother seizes hold of the kingdom. Truro and Ratana attempt to escape, but Aden captures her as they flee. Truro, wounded and dazed, attempts to reach the Sandarian temple and collapses on the road.

In or out of consciousness he is granted a holy vision, and given a quest to fulfill in being the protector of the great and powerful relic known as the Stone Circle, granting him power over the elements air, water, fire, earth. He is also instructed to find the children and grandchildren of those who previously held the relic and to defeat a man who is gathering his forces to conquer the free kingdoms.

The rest is .. the story which I shall not be writing out here.
