Hush is a short but thin light skinned girl with olive brown hair, which has a stripe of dirty blonde running down the centre of it. Her eyes are green with a ring of silver around the centre, so that her eyes seem to glow. This is because she has central hetrochromia, a condition which means her eyes have a second coloured ring around the middle. She has fairly light skin, which is lightly tanned later in her life. She has a few freckles, that she would give anything to remove. Hush is often seen wearing a denim jacket with a simple white t-shirt underneath, and a pair of jeans, along with her omnipresent pair of combat boots. Her fringe often falls into her eyes, and when it does this, she blows it out of her face huffily. As a young girl, her hair is dead straight, but as she gets older, she doesn't seem to care very much about keeping it that way, and it turns wavy. She is often seen wearing a angel wing necklace around her neck, as she is quite superstitious and believes in charms and amulets. She wears a bangle like bracelet around her wrist when she is younger, and in moments when she is stressed, scared or agitated, she would twitch her wrist, making the bracelet rattle. But people found it annoying, so she stopped wearing the bracelet. However, in tense moments, she still twists and jerks her wrist.
Hush is an unstable character, with only a few attributes that remain constant throughout her life. These are mostly her negative streaks: her pride, her stubbornness and her lack of trust. As a young girl, she does most certainly not live up to her name- she never shuts up! She could out talk anyone for the Olympics, but does not like to receive backchat herself. When given a compliment, she puffs up, but when she is criticized, she sees it as a wound to her pride. She won't listen to anyone, except if she respects them, and even then, she will only consider their views or ideas before rushing off head first into danger.
As a teenager, she matures slightly, and while she is still arrogant and proud, she is slightly more sedate. She is well aware of the fact that she can't be everyone's best friend by now and mostly keeps herself to herself. She would rather sit in the corner with her guitar than run around. However, she still has a fiery temper.
As an adult, she is completely different. She becomes harsh and sarcastic, except when she knows someone well, when she is quiet and nervous, much like she was as a teenager. However, that does not mean she rejects people completely. She will happily have a normal conversation with you, but her mood can swing at an alarming rate. She only lets her guard down around people she trusts, at which point she is often prone to cry silently, as she does not see it as weak,
since they already know her so well.
She has always seen herself as a tough girl, and tries to live up to this reputation, but often fails at crucial emotionally tense moments.
