Yara is a panther form of the species Lyracanthus Felidae which reside in the realm of Varlai. The species itself are large sentient felines and the forms for each vary and are chosen around the age of 5-7 and once chosen are permanent. Like the rest of her species, at night her natural markings glow with bio-luminescent particles in the fur.
Yara in particular is a rider in the order of Drak'tar which consist of a pair (dragon/rider) who help to police and keep order in the lands. Her dragon companion is Distort and they are rarely separated.
