Alarek works with the Order of Dragons and specializes in Alchemy. He has been tinkering with potions and ingredients to find a way to allow Dragons to temporarily take on the shape and appearance of a human to learn more about their ways. There are those that wish to stop his studies due to the dangers involved with interacting with humans, and if he succeeds there are those who wish to use his formula for their own personal gain.

Alarek himself is a bit of a shut in. He often consumes himself with his studies, relying on members of the order to bring him food or to remind him he needs to eat. He is exceptionally kind but driven on his cause and has not experienced much kindness in his lifetime so he prefers to stay away from other Dragons as to not cause further pain or fighting. He loves to learn and grow in his knowledge.
