Sami joined the Defenders not to fight, but to help and protect people, especially those who struggle to protect themselves. She studies anthropology at the Academy and hopes to use her knowledge to make the world a better place. Regardless of these traits, she is also a skilled and seasoned fighter, and is willing to go to any lengths necessary to complete her goals.

Sami's tail was badly damaged in a battle against the warrior Gaia. She had her tail amputated to give her the ability to keep fighting instead of spending time recovering.

Sami, like all Zyearthlings, is bound to a Lexi Gem that grants her long life as well as special abilities such as shielding and elemental powers.
