My 'fursona', or the character I've chosen to represent myself.

Her (sorta) brief story:
Mae Mae is an alien, though she has no planet to call home. She was formed in the Orion Nebula, also known as Messier 42.

After she was formed, she was knocked out of her comfy position among the stars and roamed the galaxy. She had no control over her course, but wasn't afraid. She's incredibly curious, and is happiest learning new things. So, floating around the galaxy was pretty awesome.

After floating, she eventually crashed onto the surface of an earth-like planet. Upon impact, her protective bubble deflated, and she was 'born'. Her previous experiences became fuzzy inside her mind, and though she didn't lose them, it is difficult for her to recall things from that period. Shortly after being 'born' she was taken in by a blind elderly woman. Mae Mae stayed with her until she died.
The emotional impact and stress hormones 'reactivated' her tail, and she "jumped" to another place. The jump was so powerful, so was unconscious for an extended amount of time. When she finally woke, the same thing happened to her memory. It wasn't gone, just a little more distant in her mind. She woke to a new place, where she found a job and safety with a lounge musician. She was a dancer alongside the musician until the day came when another man desired her. Stuck in the love triangle was too stressful for her, and thus, she jumped again, although this time she didn't leave the place, she jumped through time.
This is her current existence. Here, she lives with her mate, Lunik. He is helping her try to control her 'jumping' ability through exercises. He is well aware that he could lose her at any point, due to her unstable powers, but he is compassionate and constantly supports her. In her current state, she is able to jump with Lunik to different points in the universe, but is unable to jump through time with a passenger.

She has difficulty understanding time and human/furry concepts of time, aging, and dimensions. This difficulty is due in part to her special 'ability'. Hidden within the fibers of her tail are tiny particles that are attracted to worm holes and tears in the space-time continuum. When these particles are activated, she has the ability to see those rips. In essence, she is an inter-dimensional being with no understanding of how her 'powers' work. In simple terms, she has the ability to find pathways to other times and places.

In order to survive in space and multiple environments, her body is incredibly resilient, but more importantly, resourceful. The most noted adaptation is her 'hair'. The long, thick fibers that resemble hair are actually part of a complicated filtration system. It works similarly to a sea anemone. Due to this adaptation, she doesn't always need to consume food to stay alive; that's not to say that she doesn't enjoy consuming food though.

Mae is extremely curious, and more than a little naive. Competitive, but kind and extremely generous.

She prefers not to wear clothing, but understands social standards are important. When she does wear clothing, she prefers to wear light, flowing fabrics, leather, latex, and sometimes lolita fashion.
