Born (or was that hatched?) and orphaned in Australia shortly after birth, a young platypus was adopted by Falcon couple and named Dirk. By the time the monotreme was two he was on his way with his adoptive parents back to their mother land: Germany, saying goodbye to the Land Down Under.

And you know what? He really hasn't ever had any reason to head back there.

Of course, not too many people realize the platypi's semi-unusual back story so often when he goes to open his bill and they aren't greeted with your typical Aussie accent it's often a bit confusing, at least for those who aren't aware of his music. Dirk is the lead singer of a Heavy Metal Band called SchwimmenTod (Or Dead Swim) which is immensely popular in Germany along with a decent following in America. The entire band is made up of Aquatic and Semi-aquatic mammals tho Dirk is the only Platypus. He's pretty use to that.

Cocky, brash and enjoying his fame quite a bit, the mid-age monotreme is living it up as only a Rock Star can between traveling and writing songs: Booze, sex and parties. However, there is one catch to his Party Hard lifestyle. The people getting backstage passes to his dressing room aren't Fräuleins.
