Kaneda is from a wealthy family who love her to death and want her to be happy and find a mate. Sad thing is she is a hell of a late bloomer, which is a bad thing for their species. When a Ullion is a late bloomer others tend to avoid them and do not want them as mates because they supposedly produce weak offspring. Which no one wants. One day she runs into a Ullion name Helix who is very taken with her beauty and confidence that he asked her to be his partner to see if they are compatible. She is hower taken back and surprised that he would even ask her but accepts his proposal. They date for a few months and he eventually asked her if she would accept him as her mate to which she replied with a "yes". His family however does not approve of the her and refused to accept her telling Helix to either choose her or them. Which he chooses to give up his family to stay with her.
