Liam was born in Ireland where he lived with his mother, father, big sister, aunt, uncle, and grandmother until he was about 3, when they moved to America after the death of his aunt and uncle devistated the family. They lived in the mid US where his father worked on the rail roads. They were wealthy for a few years thank's to his great-uncle striking oil in America. At age 6 his parents and great uncle perished in a fire. He and his sister were sent to live with their grandmother and distant family in New York City, where they were very poor. Eventually Liam took up selling "papes" while his big sister, Enya, washed dishes and babysat.
