Ophelia is wife to Otto, and mother to Caleb. She is a stay-at-home mother though now that Caleb's grown up a bit, she's considering going back to college and becoming a teacher.

Ophelia knew some about Brock from tales Otto would bring home from work, but didn't really meet him until after Bella took him into her own home. She helped Bella learn how to take care of a cub, as Bella had practically ZERO experience in the matter, but more importantly, she quickly realized that Brock was no ordinary cub and encouraged Bella to not try and be a mother to him as that was NOT what he needed.

Bella and Ophelia quickly became friends despite the age difference, and Bella looks to the older female for advice and sometimes as a shoulder to cry on when things are especially rough. Ophelia is a devoted mother, and a very kind soul, wise but not particularly well educated she tends to rely on good basic common sense. She is also one of only 4 people that Brock trusts implicitly and would allow to take care of him as a cub.
