Caleb is a 2 year old otter pup at the time of my stories, and would currently be a 12 year old boy (once I get around to developing the character that far.) He is the son of Otto and Ophelia Bergstrom, Brock's former caretaker and current friend.

Caleb was first introduced to Brock shortly after he left the recovery center he was at following the events at Camp Everglades. Both Otto and Ophelia were instrumental in helping Brock and Bella settle in together, and ultimately Caleb was a big factor in Brock becoming at least somewhat comfortable with his cub form and nature.

Caleb is a high energy, tough and boisterous pup and isn't afraid to get physical. Despite Brock's early trepidations with playing with him (fearing accidentally hurting the pup with his superior strength and lack of physical control) they soon became common playmates when Brock was in cub form.

He had some trouble understanding that Brock was both the cub he loved playing with and the mountain he enjoyed climbing, but as he grew older he eventually came to understand Brock's dual nature. Though they ceased to be playmates after Caleb turned 7 or 8, He still looks up to Brock as a surrogate uncle, and as a little brother that needs protecting.
