Personality: Ali takes herself seriously and is easily absorbed into solitary activities. Because her mind is so often focused on the next thing she is going to do, she can appear standoffish or distant.

However, as much as she can become over focused on tasks, she can become easily as focused on individuals who are important to her. When this is the case, she has the tendency to pick up on personality flaws and push for positive change. At times, it can be a little too much, or evokes a counterproductive response which chafes the relationship.

Back Story: Alimah grew up with a Sleeper father and a Lucid mother. Her father had always been very patient with his wife and daughter's unusual quirks, and her mother fostered a very strong sense of Lucid identity in Alimah.

Both her parents ran a small music shop within the Inner City, and taught Alimah to run the shop along side them. She developed a head for business and sales and learned how to handle her responsibilities well.

She met Thomas when he entered the shop looking for a new piano one day nine years ago, and the two have been together since. However, their relationship has become more and more strained ever since Mae fell under their shared care. As it turns out, Alimah has very different ideas than Tom about how to raise an adolescent girl.

Ongoing Story: Alimah has recently started taking up an activist's stance against the broken and unjust political structure of the Inner City. She partakes in rallies and protests to help bring attention to the situation.

Her activism serves as a good distraction from Tom who remains her biggest source of stress. Despite her best efforts to turn him away from being roped into a corrupt system, Thomas had recently accepted a new role as Patriarch for the Inner City's Checkered Court. That, coupled with their disagreements on Mae's upbringing has driven Ali to basically ignore Tom for the time being.

She remains as a very close and respected maternal figure to Mae. The rest of her focus is poured into her professional musical career.
