Personality: Tess is kindly but very strong-minded. Probably *too* strong minded. She has a defiant streak in her that has served her well in the past, but has potential to get her into trouble.

She's a very resourceful lady, with an unmatched intellect.

Back Story: Tess is a Lucid. She endured a relatively impoverished upbringing (in the first world sense of the word). She used her 'telekinetic' abilities to preform petty crimes like break-ins and thievery. Thanks to her unique abilities, Tess got away with her crimes scot free.

Eventually,around the age of 20 or so, she has a bad run in with some other folk who, much like her, used their Lucid abilities to commit a crime against her and thus got away with it. Suddenly, the fact that there was no justice system in place for convicting people like herself didn't seem very cool to her anymore--and she found herself joining law enforcement as a cop.

Since then, she's been working to convict Lucids within the restrictions of the justice system. Saying "an apparition did it" doesn't fly, but she uses her brain to find other ways of convicting her marks.

Ongoing Story: Tess has recently found herself promoted to 'homicide detective', which she rather enjoys. She earned her promotion after the mayor initiated a new department that was assigned to deal specifically with crimes that occur within the Inner City.

A lot of the crimes she's called on to investigate are carried by Lucids, and as such, are extremely difficult crimes to solve. She's weaving her way about the judicial system, looking for ways to get rid of what is nothing short of illegal gang activity within the Inner City. However, the system she works for consistently lets her down. More and more, she finds herself working beneath the law to convict her suspects.
