Basic personal info:

Void was sparked during the war so he spend his life in ongoing danger and due to his light frame and thin armor he early developed skills in speed and agility to stay alive. Like his predecessors he joined the Autobots, his high speed, enhances vision as well as strategic and tactical understanding making him a good supporting unit for the troops. He lacks physical strenght and therefor is not meant to fight in the front line but is efficient on solo missions and information gathering.

He is an open minded character who enjoys his life despite it's flaws and likes to chat and joke around, though in battle he follows his goals with cold determination and focuses solely on reaching his targets.

Void does have a real face, his mask serves as protection for his enhances optics and also filters light and radiation in different levels. Taking it off leaves him disoriented for a moment until his vision adjusted which can cause problems during battle. Living most of his life with his mask on also causes him to get uncertain and easily irritaded when the mask is removed.

He nearly lost his head one day when he met Steelgrinder but eventually his speed succeeded against the others strenght, though he received quite a beating. He took the weapon of his oponent since it was a sword and Void has an unhealthy love for these (He didn't manage to detach the hand that still held the grip so he took it along as well). During their second encounter Void managed to persuade Steelgrinder into a deal that would sever both of them, seeing the con's rather mundane view of the world beeing an advantage and his weapon knowledge as a needed asset for his own faction. As part of the deal he persuaded Steelgrinder to find a way so he could use the newly achieved sword. He didn't like getting his arm replaced but Steelgrinder made up for it with reforging the swords blade so it would fit Void's usual arsenal in design.

sidenotes:

he usually works alone but since Steelgrinder joined up they developed a well working teamplay

Void has no long range weapons at all and only blades to attack with, making him extremely inferior to long range attacks and flyers
