Solid, firm about his speech, and down-right thick to the very skin and bone, Cedric is a well-respected member of his community, even having fame as far as from other regions usually considered foreign to him. This fame mostly comes from the recent discovery that he happened to be the true-bred father of a certain Pikachu, not that Cedric minded the cause of all the attention.. but he would rather avoid having to tell the truth about why he never truly got to meet Ace.. instead having only left a frame for the mouse.

Cedric's own family all perished in a forest fire.. well, except for him, of course, and as such, he suffers from great periods of depression in the form of constant migratory like patterns that involve him to always be on the move, regardless of the weather.. unless it's a snowstorm. The Sawsbuck also doesn't want his own son to think bad of him, obviously.. but at the same time, Cedric has never gotten to fully get to know or understand Ace in any way, shape, or form.. so it wouldn't matter much at this point..

It seems his battle skills were passed down to Ace, because like his son, Cedric is quite the formidable opponent, and highly reliable ally, mainly focusing with the strategy of carrying a Life Orb for his attack boost needs and the like. Coincidentally, like Ace, Cedric's moveset is based around physical moves, and as such, foes with higher Defense can pose somewhat of a problem.. but the Sawsbuck himself has never lost a single battle, so it isn't like he'd push past his very own limit.
