Her head and the end of her tail are feathery and soft. The rest of her body is covered in short, coarse fur.

Her feet are cloven hooves.

She has three fingers on each hand. Her fingers are essentially modified hooves; they’re hard and sharpened at the end to resemble claws. She does not have normal fingers with nails/claws at the end; the claws are her entire fingers. This is kind of an important detail!

Her tail is completely prehensile. The mouth at the end is not capable of speech, but it can eat. It can unhinge its jaw to swallow things whole… kinda like a snake. She doesn’t do it very often, so don’t worry.

She’s basically a monotreme; she produces milk, but she lays eggs. Her eggs are generally 25 cm (10 in) long, 22 cm (8.5 in) wide, and weighs 2 kg (4.5 lb). Regardless of whether or not she’s been impregnated, she lays one egg a month. It’s very nutritious!

She doesn’t really have a name for what she is, but she fancies herself a very strange sort of dragon… even though she doesn’t really have much in terms of dragonlike attributes.

On the days surrounding her monthly laying she produces milk. She produces the most milk when she’s been impregnated. After laying the fertilized egg, she continues to produce milk until long after the child has hatched.

She's an omnivore. She typically won’t eat things that are sentient enough to convince her not to eat them… typically. She likes most fruits. Especially juicy ones.

She likes warm places, for the most part. She can handle rainy seasons or general wetness, but too much humidity can get to her; on the other side of the spectrum, she can’t handle how hot and dry deserts typically are. She wouldn’t last long somewhere really cold.

Her ears aren’t as long as they look, since they’re covered in all those feathers. I didn’t really do a good job of giving them a feathery appearance, oops! But they’re probably only half as long as they look. She has a really good sense of hearing and can move her ears a lot, kinda like a cat.
