WMTA AM 930 is the official radio voice of the Marietta Sternwheelers. It’s broadcast team is headed by the legendary PBP announcer Harland Gunther “Gunny” Snow, a white-bearded polar bear that strikes a kind of grandfatherly figure. He is arguably one of the most trusted names in broadcasting among the teams of Furry League Baseball.

Gunny speaks in a nasal semi-drawl that quite elegantly dwells on the Rs and the Ls (a la Vin Scully). He also has a small lexicon of "Gunnyisms" that he uses to describe plays. For example, he describes a swinging strikeout as being "twisted like a Twizzler at the plate". And his favorite thing to say when a Sternwheeler hits a homer out of the yard is "Sayonara, Baby!"
