PERSONALITY: Nova is endlessly curious and loves to learn. He is also incredibly wise. Like his species, Nova has a regality about him, but is also can be quite naive. He is incredibly loyal, particularly to Vortex, and can be a fierce enemy if pushed to that point. Though he does not like to kill, he will to survive and defend those close to him.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY: Nova is a lab rat, which is why he does not appear like the rest of his kind. Nova was forged by scientists wanting to harness the power of a Deep Space Dragon; he was born from a lab-created star and missing pieces of his DNA were filled in by Western dragon genetics. Because of this, Nova had a lot of identity issues once he escaped the lab, and had problems for a long time understanding his DSD abilities, let alone mastering them.

A tribe he encountered on a distant planet long ago helped him through his troubles, gifting him with the piercings and silver rings in his horns. In return, Nova aided them in a fight, and made friends with the foreign species. Though he was sad to leave them, the departure would mean the introduction to Vortex, a monumental moment that would change his life forever.

APPEARANCE: Nova is of a dragon species with the anatomy of both Eastern and Western dragons. He has a long body, neck, and tail, muscular arms and legs, and strong hands. Hands and feet have three fingers and toes, and hands have opposable thumbs.

Like his species, he is wingless, but still has the ability of flight. His skin is scaleless and nearly black, a darker shade of his golden markings. He has a set of Oriental-style antlers and equally long, pointed ears. Nova has a mane of fiber optic hair that starts nearly between his eyes, runs down the back of his neck, and ends between his shoulder blades. His mane continues at the tip of his tail, interrupted completely on his back. Nova sports four spikes, same colour as his markings, that protrude from his lower back about at the pelvis.

Nova's eyes are green, claws are white, and inner flesh is bright green. Like his species, Nova's eyes, mouth and claws glow, all at will. Also like his species, his hair is always bright.

APPAREL: Being a feral creature, Nova has no need for clothing. Even in anthro form, 'he' tends to wear nothing, though 'he' has an affinity for socks, and a fondness for swanky, retro gangster suits.

SEXUALITY: Like all of his species, Nova lacks sexual drive (not to mention reproductive organs) and cannot reproduce. DSDs are birthed from the death of stars.
