Marcus is an introverted and anxious red fox who prefers studying to friends. He's currently a second year, in a pathology program at a nearby university, living alone. He enjoys reading articles online, reading, and listening to Tchikovsky music by the Berlin Philharmonic. He occasionally walks into town to browse the second hand book store or out into the forest when it's snowy out, which is about half of the year.

His long time friend Edgar is probably one of the only reasons he gets out much. They've known each other since middle school, ending up extremely close. Lately though Edgar's been able to drag Marcus outside less and less and he's not much for being online. The other reason Marcus ever goes out is his friend at the university, Joseph, who insists on dragging him to parties. They're not especially close but they talk sometimes, and Joseph's online most of the time anyways.

Recently Joseph invited Marcus to another party, and he invited Edgar, certain it would get Marcus more into it. It's a frozen night and the lights of Joseph's family home are only slightly more inviting than the forest and iced roads outside.

Marcus is the protagonist of Der Jaeger, a short horror story still being written. An image of him will follow when possible.
