This is Casey Dévolo. He is basically Jared's counterpart, although it's more likely the other way around since, as far as having been created, Casey's the older character.

Casey's got a fit build, better for lifting and pushing things than for running or swimming, like what Jared's got going on. Casey's coal-black hair is usually kept at medium length, and out of his eyes. He has a deeper complexion than Jared, and stands a bit taller. Casey is a kind-hearted man who will place others above himself.

He is also the incarnation of a God. His people's religion is based around a polytheistic system. Casey bears a striking resemblance to the God of Love and Agriculture, Amuhn, a fact revealed to him when he turned thirteen. Casey felt that the attention and favoritism that would bring him would only make him uncomfortable, so he pleaded with the priests of Amuhn to keep it under their hats. Eventually, the secret did get out, but Casey did his best to remain a normal person.

Casey has been friends with Jared for longer than he can remember. The two were pretty much inseparable for most of their lives. Casey is actually Bisexual, but the two had a relationship for a short time, before it went sour and they stopped being friends for just about seven years, during which time they tried moving on, but found that any date they went on rarely went past the first date and a kiss on the forehead at the door. It was when they reunited, they realized they had never really gotten over each other, and gave it another shot. They have been together ever since.
