Through highschool, he had always been a bit of a strange child the one who does all his homework but doodled strange and nonsensical pictures all over it, behaved strangely and never really explained why he does so.

After his schooling he spent a few years traveling around the country, and upon his return he found his familys house ransacked, torn apart and defaced, as well as many of the other houses in the area.

After that, there is a solid decade in his life where no record of him was ever found, no credit card transactions, no evidence that he was even in the country turned up. Anywhere.

It was only when The Zone turned up around the Pripyat/Chernobyl area did he surface as a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in a waste-filled area looking for artifacts.

At some point during that time the first Emission occurred in that Visitation Zone, and it was at that time that he endured a terrible reaction to the mass amount of radiation and extraterrestrial microbes assaulting the landscape.

A seizure was triggered and because of the atmospheric pounding his body suffered severe mutation, burns and scarification; the heat reacting strangely to his equipment and fusing his respirator to his face, as well as the under armor he had been wearing. It is unknown as to how he survived the emission, but what is known is that he is permanently disfigured because of it. Its believed that the radiation had little to do with his transformation aside from the intense heat produced, and that the majority of the reaction was triggered by the alien microbes in the atmosphere that were intensified by the emission.

Most of the time he is quite cheerful and positive, and to a point, completely and utterly oblivious to some things around him. What he views as common knowledge is not what the general consensus would be. It takes quite a bit to get him very angry, though he does have days where he seems more annoyed than usual- this is attributed to his physical state and the level of chaos going on in his own body. If hes in a large amount of pain, he will be more annoyed than usual.

Hes quite friendly and eager to meet new people, in order to quickly make friends. He doesnt like the idea of not being liked by someone that he likes.

Sniper has the sense of humor akin to someone whos prone to smoking marijuana. He finds strange things hilarious for very odd reasons; For example certain colors presented in certain settings will send him into a laughing fit, as well as the way and manner of someones speech patterns. Not too terribly intelligent when it comes to most topics of discussion he has a mind of his own and it tends to lead him in strange directions thatmost of the time make little to no sense. He seems happy enough though.

He tries to be as practical as he can but there are times where he engages in activities that have no viable use or meaning and explains himself as I wanted to and nothing more.

During his brutal transformation in the first Emission, he fell amidst a pile of garbage that he had been searching through and ended up in a metal dump site filled with mostly opened and unopened soda cans. The heat from the intense atmospheric blast caused the soda cans to crumble and fling themselves this way and that, similar to popcorn, as well as unopened cans to heat up to a dangerous level and explode. He was burned badly by exploding soda cans, and the sound of them bursting along with the intense and horrific pain of his transformation caused him to associate brutal pain and the assumption that the can will behave similar to during the emission. He has an intense phobic reaction to being around any unopened soda can, and the mere sound of one being crushed can send him into a panicked fit of screaming and crying.

If need be he can control his phobia in certain social situations but it is very difficult to maintain that control for more than a minute or so before he is forced to flee the area.

His incredible and abnormal luck pattern is something even Sniper is yet to understand. Despite his often time supid behavior, lack of common-knowledge, accident-prone nature and bad judgement Sniper has somehow been blessed with an abnormal streak of freakish Luck.

For example, during a firefight Sniper is more likely to have a bullet reflect off the barrel of his rifle, ricochet off a nearby building, and bounce back to shoot the enemy who fired it.

He has a bit of a stuttering problem now and then due to how excited he gets sometimes, but its usually not too noticeable.

While speaking English he has a thick Ukrainian accent while his Russian is nearly fluent as he was raised in a Russian speaking school as a child, where as his home life was strictly Ukrainian since his parents were very traditional.
