Minerva is from the Cthulhu Mythos setting and is my investigator from the Fungi from Yuggoth/Curse of Cthulhu/Day of the Beast Campaign as well as the later Escape from Innsmouth campaign. These adventures are property of Chaosium, so technically her story is a fanfiction.

Anyways, on to things actually about the character.

Minerva was born in Britain on October 13th, 1901. Her father worked for the British Museum, and both her parents were mythology fans. This is responsible for her first name. When her mother Evangeline saw her child's pale grey eyes, they named her after the grey-eyed Roman goddess. However, Minerva's eyes being so pale also meant that she was very sensitive to light. Ever since she was a young child she has worn smoked glasses to deal with that fact. Her eyesight is actually a bit better than normal.

When she was 3 years old, her family moved to New York to be with her ailing grandmother. She has lived in the United States since, and as such only exhibits a slight British accent under duress.
