My main character that I've had since ~2002. Dire wolves are characteristically more stocky than their relatives, the timber wolf. Their muzzles are thicker, teeth designed to crush bones. Dires were thought to be more of a scavenging sort than a true predator.

Obsidian is an "earth beast" and comes in two forms. She can be drawn as either anthro (digitigrade preferred) or feral.

True form: Typically, she appears as a black dire wolf with brown markings above each eye (never below). She has white claws and gray paw pads. At the base of her tail is a white gold ring, which is worn at all times. She is sometimes drawn with greater kudu horns, which are made of wood and may have plant matter, such as vines or spanish moss, entangled with the horns (at the artist's discretion).

Demon form: Undead. Her body is made of highly condensed ash and soot, sometimes leaving a smoky trail when she runs, or if there is a strong breeze, etc. She has two horns that point forward on her forehead and range from emitting a soft glow of burning embers, to being completely on fire (mood and situation dependent). Her paws can also catch fire. If she is in danger, she allows her body to disperse into the wind to escape the situation.
