Elements: Earth, mostly plant related

Hawthorn is a quiet and usually shy kirin. He's very lithe and light on his feet. If he doesn't want you to know he's there you won't. He oftentimes gets lost in the forest or in a meadow, growing little things here or there, playfully chasing small creatures he happens to come across. Playing with butterflies is one of his favorite past times otherwise he mostly keeps to himself. There are usually a few flowers (typically roses) scattered about on his skin or in his hair. While they are not made of flesh, they are growing from him. If one is cut off or forcefully removed it will hurt to some extent, but they do shed naturally and this is painless for him. His tail does produce thorns which act very much like the real thing. He won't intentionally hurt anyone with them, but they are a mode of defense if absolutely necessary. Another type of protection he uses is growing rose vines around himself. They will not hurt him, but they will provide some defense. About the only other sentient being he interacts with is Yggdrasil. They are both immortal but Hawthorn is much younger seeming and more naive than his counterpart. They've been together since they can remember. Yggdrasil is typically the guardian and sometimes teacher figure to Hawthorn, guiding and helping him to learn new things involving the earth and life.
