Backstory: Calculator 8,192 (also called "Cal" or "Cal 8" by non-machine Pokemon) led a simple life measuring and weighing rocks, nuggets, gems and evolution stones mined from Chargestone Cave. Cal, and hundreds of other Klinks/Klangs/Klinklangs controlled the elaborate pulleys and conveyor belts used to sort the important stones from rubble. One day, he met an Electrode named Rodney, and they formed an unofficial dungeon team. Cal now explores dungeons in the name of science, and likes to find rare items and treasures.

Personality: If there's one word that could describe Cal, it'd be autistic. Being a machine Pokemon, he is totally obsessed with numbers, physics, organization and symmetry. He is an incredible source of random information, and is rarely wrong with his calculations. Cal's biggest obsession is with circles and spheres because they are perfectly smooth and symmetrical - it's also the biggest reason why Cal enjoys Rodney's company despite Rodney being rather insufferable. Cal enjoys and relates well to other machine Pokemon (Electrode, Magnemite, Metagross, Porygon, etc) and likes Electric types.

Unfortunately, Cal being a supercomputer comes at a harsh price. He is devoid of emotions, and does not understand the emotions of others. He also doesn't know how to prioritize tasks well - for example, if another Pokemon wanted him to grab a Pecha Scarf from their backpack, they might find the contents of their entire bag being strewn about on the ground, while Cal innocently organizes items in alphabetical order. Cal obsesses over small, inconsequential things while missing the big picture, but he tries his best to relate to non-machine Pokemon, he just needs more practice.

Fighting style: Being emotionally-deficient, Cal cannot read his opponents hostility, so he is very unlikely to attack unless he's already been attacked. His favourite moves are Gear Grind, Shift Gear, Lock-On, Vice Grip, Hyper Beam, Thunder Wave, Zap Cannon, Charge and Thunderbolt. Cal is a small, lightweight Steel-type, so he's somewhat fast and is really good at dodging because he can predict movements through physics. He is also incredibly accurate with his projectile moves, using a combination of Lock-On and mathematics.

Cal is handicapped by being unable to concentrate on more than one enemy at a time. While he can dodge the attacks of one Pokemon well, his inability to prioritize means that he has troubles with dodging multiple attacks. His attack patterns are also somewhat repetitive and predictable, and he is open to a surprise attack. Lastly, Cal is also disabled easily if something were to get caught between the spokes of his gears. If he can't spin, he can't move or levitate, and his speech becomes a mass of stutters.
