This was a project I did in high school. We were making group signs for an elementary school summer camp, and each person in the class had to choose one of the groups and make a sign for it (most of them were named after animals).

We were shown examples of the other signs, and I remember being profoundly dissatisfied with the alligator sign from previous years... it was too toony and ugly to me. I wanted to draw a semi-realistic one. So I did.

Drawn in Flash (I was on a vector kick at the time). No shading because of time constraints.
