Daily Double 1 #1: Bowser/Windsor Gorilla [REMASTERED]

Star_Ringer

Backstory:
Windsor Gorilla, high school senior, hadn’t applied for the internship to Koopa International, the upscale hotel chain that spanned Earth, Luna, and even a couple locations on Mars. So it was a surprise when he was told he was being paid to fly out for an interview at the corporate headquarters.

It didn’t take long for him to work out that the… offer of employment, let us say, had less to do with his qualifications than it did with the Owner and CEO’s tastes. Nor was it hard to work out what he had to do if he wanted to claim the (very lucrative) offer. He was a bright student, after all.

But he just could not stop himself from pointing out that the tie was just so. Damn. Tiny.

Commentary:
Ah, where it started. I sketched, lined, colored, shaded, and framed this picture in a single evening, back when the “Daily Project” was with the intent to actually complete one picture per day. I’m surprised at myself for keeping it up as long as I did. And I always feel a little guilty I haven’t come close to it since. Still, it’s been an interesting trip. I’ve learned a lot in that time. Made a lot of mistakes. Like, why the hell did I make bowser so YELLOW?

I really do make these pairings as random as I can. I programmed a macro to randomize them for me, and everything. I thought it was funny such a furry staple like Bowser came up as #1, paired up with a secondary character from a largely forgotten Cartoon Network show. But that was what I wanted- weird pairings that didn’t make a lot of logical sense.

I didn’t have much of any backstory, nor did I intend to, initially. It was supposed to just be PWP. But I fucking love plot too much to leave it at that for long. Now I make family trees and star charts for this amalgamated world I’ve mashed together out of other people’s creative works. Maybe I should actually try to do something original, eventually.
