Been working on some very small (postcard-sized) watercolor paintings of birds native to my area lately. Here is one of a little type of woodpecker that hangs out on the bare stalks of various plants in winter, downy woodpecker. This is a rather close representation of one in my opinion, and I like that I made the perch-stick-thing fairly realistic as well. :D
More on the way--some much better than this even. :) This one took about two hours of continuous drying and painting, drying and painting...
