About: Done as an experiment to work in a restricted time limit, Calliope is a creature I was commissioned to design from thumbnail to final 2D concept. After receiving feedback from Stage 2, I went in and developed the final design for Calliope. The client ended up wanted a more white, translucent, and slightly iridescent color palette for Calliope where the body was illuminated in cool colors and the organs in warmth. The final design took about two and a half hours.
