I do like this cartoony style.
Am I correct in thinking that the 3 different colours in the hair is meant to be shading? If so, they shouldn't be all over, but should rather show where the light source is coming from. For example, if the light source is on the left, the lightest shade would be where ever the light is hitting it (in this case, the left side), and the back of the character (or the right side) would have the darkest colour.
