Another character that I've been scared to draw up until now was Samus Aran.

And it's pretty easy to see why. This was the biggest challenge I've ever tackled in a while. Mainly because, I've always had a tendency of drawing characters with very simple designs and very little detail. So, Samus' armor was probably one of the most difficult things I've ever drawn. Another reason being, that I'm not that big of a metroid fan. I had never heard of the franchise until the first Smash Bros., I tried getting into it through Metroid Prime, but it just felt like a bit of a chore. Still, this was an excellent method of braking out of my comfort zone.
