Based on a conversation with Renard de Fleureaux wherein theme music was discussed, followed by a big long tangent about an alternate-universe scenario with post-apocalyptic versions of various characters.

Here, then, is Luprand a number of years after the apocalypse, as a paladin of sorts. Lacking any useful armor or weapons, he relies on the runic inscriptions on his body to provide him with divine protection and empowerment as he wanders the wastes in search of those in need of protection. Presumably he's about 35-40 years old at this point.
