After the success of the Dantooine campaign due to much thanks from the artillery, the DE contracted a newer, more advanced version of the Overbear II. Since the Overbear II had little to no elevation ability, the vehicle was reclassified as a Light Tank Destroyer, and the newer Overbear III stayed as a Light Artillery. With an increase in self-defense vs Infantry and lightly armoured vehicles, and a large increase in armouring, this new Artillery is ready to get up close and personal with the MR.

The "Overbear III" has a 108 mm cannon, several Anti-personnel guns, Spaced Armour, RA, and an advanced engine, letting it respond quickly to any situation and put rounds on target quickly and repeatedly.
