All of this in an hour? That's mighty impressive! It definitely has a dynamic look to that's quite enjoyable. :D Though, I was wondering - what part of the Charr is that piece right by their left eye? Is that the other ear? I bring this up because it feels like the Charr's left ear shouldn't be showing, given how far back the right ear is situated... But anyway, that's just my 2 cents. By no means does that little bit ruin the image. D: You've done a wonderful job, and I hope your client likes it as much as I do. :3

Ohhhhh, snap, I didn't even consider how the ears were sitting. I cannot believe I missed that -- duly noted to be more diligent about that stuff in the future! Ah! I feel a bit foolish now. Yes, that absolutely is the other ear. Oops!

She seems to love it! Talking about melting into a happy puddle. Haha!

And yup, just an hour's work. Alchemy's Speed Strokes setting helps me set up what I want relatively quickly (which is good, because otherwise it wouldn't be Speed Strokes!), then I go in and use normal shapes to set the black/white. I export it into Photoshop, smooth it out and overlay some color, then start painting with color -- which is, unfortunately, about where my time ends in an hour. I'm looking for ways to refine the process, either by using color IN Alchemy, or maybe overlaying color sooner to get away from black/white quicker. I'm starting to get a handle on color, but I definitely could be doing it more efficiently, which should come in time? I hope? Heh.

Thank you very much again for noticing that stray ear! Ah! I still can't believe I didn't consider something like that. I think what I was trying to do was make the ears stand outward a bit, but there's no foreshortening on the other ear. So one is, like, laying flat and back, and then the one you noticed is standing straight out. And it looks a bit goofy this way. I'll see if she wants it corrected now that you brought it to my attention.

My apologies if I've caused some excess stress. D: I totally understand why you rendered it the way you did, though. It happens~

This is the first, I think, that I've heard of (what I'm assuming is a program) Alchemy. I'll have to look into it later when I have better internet as it definitely sounds like an interesting tool to use. Is it an expensive program?

And you're most welcome! I'm glad I could be of help to others (I think)~

Oh, nono, no excess stress! I always seem to type like this in regards to critiques -- sorry if I come across as panicky! It's really more excitement, if that's the word? Excitement that someone saw something wrong that I now know to be more careful about next time. If that makes sense. That sounds almost weird when typed out, but hey, whatever works!

It's a fairly small and easy-to-learn program. Here's a link. Completely free as well! You're not meant to spend a lot of time in it, especially since it starts to lag and even crash after long periods of use (an hour plus in my experiences). Much more sketch focused. Trying to make something refined and smooth in it requires a lot of work, which may be easier and quicker to do in Photoshop. But since it's free, I say give it a shot! I much prefer it to just sketching in Photoshop. It's more engaging, to me.

Ah, I'm glad that it isn't anything worse like I had originally thought. While I try to scan the Critique Wanted section to help out when I can, I'm often worried that said person won't respond to it well, as I've had a couple of negative experiences in the past. :S That aside though, I'm extremely happy to know now that I was able to help; something akin to the feelings you get when someone critiques you, I suppose. XP

Thank you very much for the link! I'll be looking forward to trying this out tonight, if the download finishes in time. I hope it won't be too difficult to get the hang of too.
