    Hi. What kind of cameras was used to take this photo?

      Canon EOS 7D with the EF-S 60mm macro lens. No flash, just the nightclub lighting.

        Nice.

          I was improvising, actually ^.^ The 60mm really isn't wide enough to pull this off (bear in mind the 7D is crop-sensor, so you get an extra 1.6x "zoom" compared to 35mm film, solely because the 7D sensor is smaller than a film frame).

          My 17-40L let me down a little because it just doesn't let enough light in (it's an f4) - all I got were exposure warnings and blurred shots. The 60mm Macro (an f2.8) was all I had with me at the con, so I bolted it onto the camera and went with it. I may have annoyed the DJs a touch by stepping behind the gaffer-taped lines marking the dancefloor and designated walkway ^.^;

            Nods. I use a pentax DA 15mm f4. Great photos indoor so long as the subject is not moving. A prime is better but not as flexible.

            I have to say your shot came out very nice. It's not easy to get level DOF sharpness from top to bottom like that.

            I have a nikon d600 ff and i don't used it very often except for portraits, landscapes and other similar stills. It's not the best motion camera unless you have a very short exposure time and there is enough light. It has problems shots in low light when compared to canon or so i am almost always in MF with some quick programed presets.
