I feel like this dude was a True Believer in the Cause. And because he was a True Believer, convincing evidence that maybe the Cause isn't so righteous probably converted him hard. And now that he got all tainted and what not, the Belief has effectively inverted.
Basically what I'm saying is that this dude has Boss vibes, potentially even Rah'jan's new right hand.
